Welcome to Swoon Sunday where you get to meet some of our swoon-worthy heroes. Today we have a visit from Kyle Sawyer from The Bad Boy Bargain by Kendra C. Highley!
Kyle, why don’t you describe yourself to us.
Six-one, dark hair, blue eyes, athletic build. Girls say I have great arms. Most baseball players do.
What’s your profession?
Student, Bad Boy of Suttonville High, landscaper, baseball player. Depends on the day.
What kind of music do you listen to? (What song are you listening to on your iPod right now?)
I like metal, mostly. When I’m working, I play a lot of Avenged Sevenfold. It’s the only thing I can hear over a lawn mower.
What is your biggest dream/wish/desire?
To be liked for me…the real me. But finding the right person to trust has been a problem.
What’s your darkest secret?
You know what it is…but I’m not saying here.
Describe the craziest thing you have done.
I’m doing it right now—I’m helping this girl I just met take revenge on her ex…who happens to be someone I have a bone or ten to pick with, too.
Who is your idol?
My grandpa. Yeah, that’s sappy, but the old man has been there for me through everything. He’s a tough old bastard, but he makes me a better man.
What is one thing would you refuse to share?
My baseball mitt. There are some things that are holy—and my mitt totally qualifies. It only works for me, so I don’t let anyone else handle it.
What is your favorite sports team?
The Texas Rangers. They blew the playoffs this year, but I still love them.
If you had to describe yourself as an ice cream flavor, what flavor would you be?
Rocky Road…that’s for damn sure.
Liked the Interview with Kyle? Now check out a cute excerpt from Kyle’s POV between him and Faith:
“Your parents just offered to send you plant shopping with me tomorrow.”
She cocked her head. “You make it sound like they offered you a dowry and my hand in marriage.”
A tiny thrill ran down his back. He walked over and stood a foot away from her. “What kind of dowry are we talking?”
She stood up slowly. “Two cows, a sheep, and four wheels of aged cheddar. Interested?”
He stroked his chin, considering. From her place on the first step, her eyes were even with his. They were deep brown, with flecks of gold around the pupils. Warm, kind eyes that swallowed you whole. “Four whole wheels of cheddar. That’s a pretty good offer.”
“I am the baby of the family. They won’t marry me off to just anyone.”
